Did I mention that my esteemed colleagues in Flintshire, Wales have taken a shine to the council's new grit mix containing sugar, starch and cereal? Not only are they quick off the mark after the gritting lorry has passed but, once on the road and in lick mode, they are reluctant to move over for traffic.
